As the safety of our participants is our top priority and concern, the Organizing Committee has decided for a Virtual UMAP 2020 conference with a possibility to have some physical presence, if this will be possible.

Please, take note of the following:

  • The Proceedings of the Conference will be published by ACM and available in the ACM Digital Library, as planned.
  • The authors will be required to record their presentation, which will be available in the ACM Digital Library as well (instructions will be sent to authors through EasyChair).
  • The virtual conference will allow for live sessions, discussion and social interaction. We are working on that.
  • Registration fees are being reworked in order to encourage the widest participation and just cover the publishing of the proceeding and the conference management.
  • Please do not book travel to Genoa, check with us before that.

 

]]> Covid-19 important update 03-07 https://um.org/umap2020/2020/covid-19-important-update/ Sat, 07 Mar 2020 08:00:22 +0000 https://um.org/umap2020/test/?p=197 UMAP 2020 will proceed as planned July 14-17, but we will continue to monitor the evolving situation related to the coronavirus disease outbreak and potential impact on global travel.
We are following the guidelines provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), local public health authorities,  individual governments and the Italian Government. Decisions will be based on that.
We wish to reassure that should a physical conference be unsafe or should people have travel limitations from Governments, the remote presentations/recordings will be possible.
Proceedings of the Main Conference and Adjunct Proceedings will be available as planned in the ACM Digital Library.

Any changes to operating status will be communicated immediately on the website and social media as well as to all authors of accepted papers and to registered meeting attendees. Stay tuned.
