The airport is located 17 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Some domestic attendees may arrive in Chicago via Midway International Airport (MDW), which is 11 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. For domestic travelers in the USA, you can also reach Chicago by taking trains (Amtrak) and long-distance buses (Greyhound or FlixBus).\r\n  <\/div>\r\n\r\n  <div class=\"umap-transport-subheading\">Getting to Downtown Chicago<\/div>\r\n  <div class=\"umap-transport-text\">\r\n    Downtown Chicago is the vibrant heart of the city, encompassing the Loop and nearby neighborhoods such as River North and the West Loop. The area is known for its iconic architecture, world-class dining, cultural attractions, and lively urban atmosphere. UMAP 2027&rsquo;s venue is located in the area of West Loop, known for its historic industrial architecture, acclaimed restaurants, and proximity to iconic landmarks such as Willis Tower.\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  <div class=\"umap-transport-text\">\r\n    There are 3 options for traveling from the airports to downtown Chicago: 1) the CTA train, 2) a shuttle service, or 3) a taxi or rideshare service.\r\n  <\/div>\r\n\r\n  <div class=\"umap-transport-subheading-sm\">1) Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Train<\/div>\r\n  <div class=\"umap-transport-text\">\r\n    From ORD International Airport, you can take the CTA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transitchicago.com\/blueline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blue Line<\/a> to downtown Chicago. The closest Blue Line stop to our venue is &ldquo;Clinton.&rdquo; It is an 8-minute walk from Clinton to the UMAP venue (Chicago-Kent School of Law).\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  <div class=\"umap-transport-text\">\r\n    From MDW Domestic Airport, you can take the CTA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transitchicago.com\/orangeline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Orange Line<\/a> to downtown Chicago. The closest Orange Line stop to our venue is &ldquo;Quincy.&rdquo; It is an 11-minute walk from Quincy to the UMAP venue (Chicago-Kent School of Law).\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  <div class=\"umap-transport-text\">\r\n    <strong>CTA Fare Information:<\/strong> CTA fare information can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.transitchicago.com\/fares\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CTA website<\/a>. There is fare information for both buses and trains. You can purchase a single-trip Ventra Ticket or buy a Ventra Card, which is a contactless payment card for easy access to buses and trains across the city&rsquo;s transit system. You can easily buy the Ventra Card from vending machines at Chicago airports.\r\n  <\/div>\r\n  <div class=\"umap-transport-text\">\r\n    In addition, CTA offers day passes, including 1-day, 3-day, 7-day, and 30-day passes. You can also load these passes to your Ventra Card. If hiring a taxi, do not accept a ride from a driver outside the designated taxi queue at the airport or from anyone who approaches you inside the airport offering a ride. Former warehouses and factories have been transformed into offices, apartments, restaurants, and creative spaces. The neighborhood is famous for Randolph Street, known as Chicago's &ldquo;Restaurant Row.&rdquo; World-class restaurants, trendy cafes, and lively bars attract visitors from across the city. Its convenient location is just west of Chicago's downtown Loop. The neighborhood is highly walkable and well connected by public transportation. Public transportation around downtown Chicago is generally frequent, reliable, and convenient, making it easy for visitors to reach the venue. You can easily arrive at the venue by the Chicago CTA public transport, such as subway trains (Blue, Green or Orange lines), and bus lines (Bus 20, 60, 7, 126, J14, 151, 157, etc.).
