Do you need a Visa?
The participation to ACM UMAP'27 conference is considered travel for business. Some nationalities do not need to apply for a visa to travel to the USA for the conference. The options for applying for a visa are:
For all the other countries that do not participate in the Visa Waiver Program, the attendees must apply for the standard B1 Visa. The processing time depends on the specific embassy/consulate and it can be estimated through the waiting time estimator.
Visa Support Letters Requests
ACM is able to provide visa support letters to registered attendees, authors and speakers with accepted papers/posters/talks, and conference committee members. For visa support letters, you can submit a request by filling out the ACM request form. Please allow up to 10 business days to receive a letter. All requests are handled in the order they are received. The information below should be included with the request:
  • Your name as it appears on your passport
  • Your current postal mailing address
  • The name of the conference you are registering for.
  • Your registration confirmation number
  • If you have any papers accepted, please provide the title and indicate whether you are the “sole author” or a “co-author”
  • Authors may indicate their paper title. If no paper, speakers can provide the title of their presentation
ACM does not provide letters for transport of vendor or presenter equipment. ACM suggests shipping the materials insured to the conference facility.
