Important Information
Before you start your registration, please make sure you have the following information ready (if applicable):
  • Registration policy – UMAP 2027 will require each accepted paper or other type of submission to have at least one registered author attending the conference. However, authors presenting multiple accepted papers will only need to pay a single registration fee, regardless of the number of papers they are presenting.
  • Attendance policy – ACM UMAP 2027 is organized as an in-person event. To be announced...
  • Student rate – Available only to those who have student status at the time of the conference. Students will be required to submit a proof of student status (a scanned copy in jpg/jpeg or PDF format of their student ID) after registration.
  • ACM membership – ACM Members will be requested to fill in their ACM number on the registration form to prove their status, i.e., that they are current ACM members, in order to complete the registrations at member rates.
  • Non-transferable – Your registration is strictly personal and must not be transferred to another person.
  • Recording consent – Recordings of sessions, chats, questions and answers might be captured during the conference for later viewing. By registering for this event, you are granting permission to record your comments and questions during sessions.
  • What is included – Registration includes the access to the corresponding conference sessions, coffee breaks, lunch, welcome receptions and banquet dinner, as described in the conference programs. Workshops and tutorials are included in the full general registration. Registering for tutorials or workshops only is not available.
  • Accessibility needs – Individuals with accessibility needs are requested to register by the early registration deadline, to allow sufficient time for necessary preparations.
Cancellation and Refund Policies
We understand that travel conditions may be uncertain for some participants, and we aim to communicate our policy clearly.
  • General policy – All registrations for UMAP 2027 are final and non-refundable. This policy is consistent with ACM conference guidelines and reflects financial commitments made to the venue and service providers.
  • Exceptional circumstances – Registered participants unable to attend due to visa issues or other valid, verifiable travel disruptions (such as canceled flights due to international conflicts or border closures) may request a partial refund (up to 50% of the registration fee). The Organizing Committee will review each request individually; refunds are granted at the Committee's discretion and are not guaranteed.
  • How to request a refund – Contact the organizers at umap2027-general@um.org. Requests must be sent no later than May 21, 2027. Please note that even where an exception is granted, only partial refunds (up to 50% of the registration fee) may be approved and offered.
  • Authors of accepted contributions – In accordance with ACM policy, at least one author of each accepted contribution must register for the conference. This registration is mandatory and non-refundable in all circumstances, regardless of whether the author is ultimately able to attend. Failure to register may result in the contribution being removed from the conference proceedings.
